EXCURSION TO DRESDEN

From Prague, in less than two hours, we can travel from the Czech Republic to Germany and arrive in the so-called "Florence of the Elbe." Here, the historic center has been almost entirely reconstructed.

SAMPLE ITINERARY We will depart at 9:00 AM from the meeting point in Prague, arriving in less than two hours at our destination, Dresden. This city is the capital of Saxony, where our guide will tell you about many events that have taken place throughout history, both positive and negative, following the final days of World War II, when Dresden was completely destroyed. You will learn details about the bombing of Dresden.

We will see many buildings characterized by the materials they are made of, but what will most impress you is the use of rubble to rebuild the structures destroyed by the bombs of World War II.

Among other sights, this tour of Dresden will take us to the Zwinger Gardens, the Catholic Cathedral, the Semperoper Opera House, the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche), the Church of the Holy Cross (Kreuzkirche), the Balcony of the Elbe, the Albertinum, and the Princes' Parade route.

At the end of the guided tour, the guide will give you free time, which you will arrange with him, so you can have lunch at your leisure and purchase souvenirs, if desired. The return time will be arranged with the guide at the end of the tour, and if everything goes smoothly, we will arrive back in Prague around 6:00 PM.
